Getting Started
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every new account gets a full 14-day free trial with complete Plus access — no credit card required. At the end of your trial you can purchase Basic for any dog you want to keep, and optionally add Plus. You will not be automatically charged.
What is a Basic license and do I need one?
Yes — Basic ($24.99) is a one-time purchase per dog that gives you lifetime access to your dog's complete record. It covers all nine sections: Info, Health, Journal, Calendar, Food, Training, Directory, Equipment, and Titles. You only pay once, and your data is yours forever.
How do I add additional dogs?
Open the side menu from the Owner Home page, select My Pack, then tap Add New Dog. Each dog requires its own Basic license.

What's the difference between Basic and Plus?
Basic ($24.99 one-time per dog) gives you the complete record — all nine sections, QR found dog tag, FDA recall checks, pack sharing, calendar, and voice-to-text journal entries.
Plus ($4.99/month or $39.99/year per dog) adds AI-powered Daily Note parsing, the ability to ask questions about your dog's health history, 50 AI credits per month, photo attachments in exams and journal entries, Health Threads with PDF export, specific training plans, breed health profiles, and health alerts.

How do I manage or cancel my Plus subscription?
Open the app and go to Pack Management from the side menu. Select the dog you want to modify and tap Manage Subscription — this opens a secure Stripe page where you can change or cancel your plan.
How do AI credits work?
Plus subscribers receive 50 AI credits per month. Each Daily Note parse uses 1 credit per day, and each AI scan uses 1 credit. If you run out, overage packs are available (5/$1.99, 15/$4.99, 30/$8.99).

Features
Can I ask questions about my dog's health history?
Yes, with Plus. Type or speak a natural language question in the Daily Note field and PackLeader answers using your dog's actual records. Weight trends, lab results, medications, vet visits, and journal entries are all considered together.
For example: "How has his weight been trending?" returns the specific weight entries and trend. "How concerned should I be about the weight loss?" connects the weight trend to active medications and open health threads. "When was his last vet visit?" returns the exam record with the clinic, doctor, and notes.

What is the Daily Note feature?
Daily Note lets you speak or type a free-form note about your dog's day — no forms, no structure required. With Basic, the note is saved as a plain voice-to-text journal entry. With Plus, PackLeader's AI reads the note and automatically routes observations — symptoms, behaviors, meals, moods — to the right records. With Plus you can also ask questions about your dog's history in the same field.
What are Health Threads?
A Thread is a longitudinal record of anything unfolding over time — a health condition, a behavior issue, a training journey. Vet visits, journal entries, medications, and observations all attach to the relevant thread automatically. Any thread can be exported as a PDF to share with your vet, trainer, or specialist.
Does PackLeader check FDA dog food recalls?
Yes. PackLeader runs a live FDA recall check whenever you update your dog's food, and you can run a manual check anytime from your dog's profile.
What is the QR found dog tag?
Every dog in PackLeader gets a QR tag. If your dog is ever lost — or if a first responder, groomer, sitter, or boarding facility needs to identify them — anyone can scan the tag with any phone and your contact info appears immediately. No app required on their end.
What is Pack Sharing?
Pack Sharing lets you add family members, sitters, or groomers to your pack so they can view and update your dog's records. Everyone who cares for your dog stays on the same page.
Does PackLeader track AKC titles and sport competition results?
Yes. PackLeader tracks titles and competition results across AKC, UKC, USCA, NACSW, and other organizations. FastCAT scores, IGP results, obedience titles, and more are all part of the dog's permanent record — alongside health, training, and everything else.
Does PackLeader have tools for dog breeders?
Yes. The Breeder tier ($199/year) includes Plus-equivalent features for all of the breeder's own dogs, unlimited litters, puppy follow-along for year one after transfer, and a breeder directory listing. When a puppy is transferred to a new owner, their complete health record transfers with them instantly. The new owner gets Basic for life and Plus through the puppy's first birthday.
Account & Troubleshooting
My purchased access level isn't showing up. What do I do?
Open the app and go to Pack Management from the side menu. Tap the refresh button in the top right corner — this syncs your entitlements from the server and should resolve most access issues within a few seconds.
If the issue persists, try logging out and back in. If that doesn't resolve it, contact us and we'll investigate and correct it for you.

How do I change my password?
Open the side menu → My Account → tap Change Password. A link will be sent to your email address to complete the change.
